La mondialisation hiérarchise les territoires à l'échelle mondiale

La mondialisation, comprise comme un processus économique mondial, conduit à envisager une mise en concurrence des territoires à l'échelle internationale. La géographie économique a ainsi décrit la naissance d'une nouvelle division internationale du travail (NDIT) liée à la mondialisation. Les économies se spécialisent dans des domaines particuliers où les pays peuvent faire jouer leurs avantages comparatifs.
